Studies for Ghost Watch (Graphite Reproduction)
Work-in-progress studies for a series of 'Ghost Watch’ drawings as part of the body of work using the watches worn by my father and his father. Each drawing is made from lines traced around the actual watches. Their production necessitates contact between the objects and the paper surface. The drawings are made using graphite stick, graphite pencil and an eraser; the lines blurred and erased by pressure from my own hand, meaning three generations of contact are present. Each set of drawings made on a single sheet of paper, torn in half.
